Agreement and account eligibility

Grellum is the legal intelligence product operated by Rillor. These Terms govern access to Grellum. By creating an account, starting a paid subscription, or using the service, the account holder agrees with Rillor to these Terms and confirms that they are legally able and authorized to enter this agreement for themselves or their organization. Account information must be accurate, credentials must be protected, and accounts may not be shared in a way that bypasses plan or security controls.

Professional use

Grellum provides research assistance and source organization. It does not provide legal advice, form an attorney-client relationship, establish privilege, or replace review by a qualified professional. Users remain responsible for validating authorities, dates, procedural requirements, factual assumptions, and conclusions.

Permitted use

Users may use the service only for lawful research they are authorized to conduct. Attempts to bypass account restrictions, access another tenant, extract credentials, interfere with ingestion, or use the service to violate professional or legal duties are prohibited.

Plans and measured usage

Grellum offers a limited Free plan and paid Plus, Pro, and Max plans. Paid plan prices shown at checkout are recurring monthly subscription prices; Enterprise terms are agreed separately. Quick and deep research are not sold as separate run counts. Instead, each plan has a weekly measured-usage allowance governed by a versioned internal resource policy. The application displays the account’s current weekly percentage and reset time, not the underlying measurement units. Unused weekly allowance does not roll over or represent stored monetary value. When the allowance is exhausted, new research may be paused until the weekly reset or until the account upgrades; work already durably accepted by the service remains governed by the job status shown in the application.

Subscriptions, renewal, and payment

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe and automatically renew each month until canceled. The account holder authorizes Grellum and Stripe to charge the selected payment method for recurring plan fees, applicable taxes, and any amounts clearly disclosed at checkout. A paid plan becomes active only after Stripe confirms payment or an active subscription through a signed server-to-server event. A success page alone does not create access. Failed, reversed, disputed, or overdue payments may place the account in a restricted state while billing is resolved.

Cancellation, plan changes, and refunds

An account holder may manage the payment method and cancel through the billing controls made available in the account. Unless checkout or applicable law states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and access continues through that period. Fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly approved by Grellum. Upgrades may take effect immediately and may be prorated by Stripe; the applicable amount is shown before confirmation. Grellum may change future plan prices or allowances with notice before the change applies to a renewal.

Source coverage

Coverage changes as official sources publish, revise, remove, or temporarily fail to serve records. Grellum distinguishes verified-complete sources from backfilling or degraded sources, but no technology can guarantee that an upstream authority is itself complete or error-free.

Availability and product changes

Features, provider capacity, connected sources, and usage policies may change. Research jobs may fail, be interrupted, or require resumption. Grellum may restrict or suspend access to protect the service, enforce these Terms, respond to payment status, or perform maintenance. Users should preserve independently verified work needed for a deadline or filing.

Confidentiality and data responsibility

Users must not submit information they are not authorized to process and remain responsible for professional duties involving confidentiality, privilege, conflicts, client consent, records management, and cross-border transfers. Grellum’s handling of account, research, usage, and billing information is described in the Privacy Notice.

Disclaimers and responsibility

The service and its outputs are provided on an “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. Grellum does not warrant that any output, source collection, upstream authority, or research result is complete, current, or suitable for a filing or deadline. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions about these Terms, billing, or cancellation may be sent to trevor@grellum.com.
